INTERNATIONALE EISENWARENMESSE 2020 postponed to 21-24 Feb 2021

The 2 year wait between Kolschs will have to stretch to 3 years due to the postponement of one of Durham-Duplex’s favourite shows of the cycle – Internationale Eisenwarenmesse Koln – into 2021 due to the current Covid- 19 crisis. But rest assured that the Company will be exhibiting as part of the UK Pavilion in 2021 and highlighting the exiting range of hand knives, utility blades and flooring tools to the European market. The stand will also focus of the American Line range of hanging carded products from Accutec Blades alongside Durham-Duplex’s own private label offering.

In the meantime Durham-Duplex will be carrying on with business as near as normal as possible supported by both our European subsidiary Durham-Duplex (Europe) and Accutec Blades. Of particular interest this year was to be the Personna Luxury Vinyl Tile cutter which offers increased accuracy and life for flooring professionals.

EMPACK UK 26-27 Feb 2020

Durham-Duplex had a very successful EMPACK/Packaging Innovations event at the NEC 26-27 Feb 2020 which turned out to be the last one of the year.  This event’s focus fits nicely with the Company’s high tech approach to machine knives and industrial blades where the quality of the cut is a key component within the processing and packaging elements of the product.  Alex Smith, UK Area (South) Sales Manager, said “As a Global player in the processing and packaging industry sectors Durham-Duplex enjoys the challenges that flow from the EMPACK/PI show and the meetings with customers and new contacts over the 2 days in Birmingham.  There was a nice mix of innovative enquiries from the inventers alongside the industry specific ones from the current operators which makes the exhibition fun and our spread of manufacturing capability means that we can usually support both.”

Foodpack Thailand 2020

Durham-Duplex were delighted to exhibit at the Foodpack show in Bangkok 12-15 February where K. Kanwipha and K. Kullanat exhibited the range of Durham-Duplex products to the Thai customers. As K. Kanwipha said “This is a show that brings out our target audience and although it seemed slow on the first 2 days, possibly due to unfounded fears around the Chinese stands, but once the message got out that the China Pavilion was unmanned then the final 2 were busy-busy as people tied in a trip to Bangkok with a visit to the show.”

Southern Manufacturing 2020

Durham-Duplex had a great trip down south to the Southern Manufacturing Show at 11-13 February 2020 at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. Paul Bottomley, UK sales Director said: “Southern Manufacturing is always a great show to see existing customers and to meet new ones from the South of UK as they walk the show but, it was also great to visit with all the other excellent exhibitors at this wide ranging show. UK manufacturing is brilliant and Durham-Duplex are delighted to be part of this exciting sector.”
