A visit to NEC Birmingham is never wasted and Durham-Duplex proved this once again as they exhibited at Empack and Packaging Innovation (PI) in the NEC 15-16 Feb 2023. The show was a focussed event and part of the family of shows the Company does across Europe with the UK one usually usually being the the best one. UK Sales Director Paul Bottomley explained why “In EMPACK at the NEC we get a knowledgeable footfall seeking to engage with the practicalities of the packaging process and increasing productivity by utilising the best cutting edges. This is an area where Durham-Duplex excels and the mix of attendees works well, often encouraged to attend by the easy mid country location, with them seeking us out or arranging to meet on the stand. In Europe the focus is more around the aesthetic and innovation so a lot of the work is done off stand talking to customers in PI seminars or break out events. Generally the Easy Fairs work well for us and as expected we had another good show at the NEC in 2023.”

DD Team at Empack 2023
K. Kanwipha and the team enjoyed exhibiting at the Food Pack Asia event in BITEC Bangkok on 8-11th Feb 2023. This is a wide ranging show covers all aspects of food processing and packaging in Thailand with associated shows like the Label show and Warehouse and Logistics alongside it. International Sales Director Carl Foster joined the team for the show and said “Whilst it is not the scale of the pan regional Propack this show works well for developing our local customer base and was well attended by our target market. It also had the delightful advantage of having a small food court within the exhibition hall so lunch was tip top with out having to leave the Hall!”

Durham-Duplex were delighted to be back at Southern Manufacturing 7 -9 February showing off their full range of industrial blades and machine knives. UK Sales Director Paul Bottomley commented “This show is a long way from home but that’s a good thing as we get a completely different footfall across the 3 days all of which were looking for quality products which ticks our box as a Sheffield based manufacturer. With the move to traceability we offer something different as an ISO 9001 manufacturer which we complement with our range of safety knives and also Accutec’s specialty blades for windscreens and OLFA’s hand knives. So there was plenty for the engineer, H&S specialist and buyer to look at.”
