Interpack is back and Durham-Duplex are exhibiting!
After six years and a forced absence during the pandemic, the world’s biggest trade fair for the packaging industry and related process industries is up and running again. From May 4 to 10 2023, Düsseldorf becomes a business platform and future technology workshop for the packaging industry.
With 18 halls, targeted exhibition areas, new speciality shows and forums demonstrate the industry’s innovative prowess Durham-Duplex are one of around 2,700 exhibitors from around the world and will be showing the Company’s full range of Packaging and processing knives. Durham-Duplex are in the Components Hall and looking forward to the conversations with customers and potential customers over the 7 days.

Bringing to an end a busy fortnight of shows across 3 countries was Empack and Packaging Innovation at the NEC where Durham-Duplex exhibited its full range of packaging, meat & food processing and safety hand knives to the UK market. Paul Bottomley, UK Sales Director, said “Empack shows work well and we like the package that they offer. The organisers brought in a wide cross section of the industry which made it an attractive event for us to do. We have had a busy event schedule in 2022 but Empack and PI had been a particularly highlight in the diary for a while and we enjoyed our visit to NEC very much. This year we showed our expanded range of meat & poultry processing blades as well as examples of our range of tray knives and some new OLFA safety products.”

Durham-Duplex were looking forward to exhibiting at the first Anuga Foodtec since 2018 and teh event did not disappoint. The event ran 26-28th April in Koln Messe and as a whole industry show it covered all aspects of our product range. David Piper, EU Sales Manager, explained:
“Anuga is divided into separate but complementary zones covering meat, fish, packaging, processing, bakery etc and so there is a wide cross section of both our customers and target audience attended the event. The 2018 show was a great success for us with our product range from skinner to our own manufactured machine knives so we went for the same hall same location theory to maximise brand awareness and that really worked as poeple sought us out. We retained our European reach through our Brussels subsidiary and as a manufacturer qualifying under the 0% tariff point of origin rules that was a big discussion point at the event. So to remind customers that if you want to be supplied by a manufacturer across EU and the World then get in touch.”

Durham-Duplex are looking forward to exhibiting at the re-scheduled Food Pack Asia in BITEC Bangkok 4-7 April 2022. The Durham-Duplex (SEA) sales team are looking forward to the event which specialises in the needs for the Thai food processing and packaging needs . As DD(SEA) Sales Manager Miss Kanwipha Kammana says “This show has always been about the knowledgeable operators, engineers and bosses of Thai food companies who still want to offer their customers excellent products but are free of the restrictive maintenance agreements of Multinational firms. This fits neatly into Durham-Duplex’s ability to make bespoke machine knife products in Thailand for the local market.”
